If you want to enjoy beer while watching a soccer game in Mapo-gu, we recommend three places: Corky Pub, Bonghwangdang, and The Bam.
Each pub broadcasts various sports games, and especially during the Asian Cup, many people gather, so reservations are essential.
Each pub has a different atmosphere and menu, so choose the one that suits your taste and enjoy a fun time with exciting soccer cheering.

Let me introduce you to Cockypub, located an 8-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 9. They proudly call themselves the 'Hongdae No.1 Sports Pub,' and for good reason – they broadcast a wide range of sports, including the EPL, KBO, NFL, and MLB. They also regularly host exciting events alongside lively music. You can feel the atmosphere just from looking at the pictures, right? While they typically accept reservations, for major events like the World Cup, they operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Considering the high anticipation for the Asian Cup, it's likely to be crowded. I've included their Instagram link below, so I recommend sending them a DM to inquire about reservations before visiting!
Bonghwangdang describes itself as a 'British-style football pub. Big welcome to those who love alcohol and delicious food.' It's located a 2-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 3. As you can see from the sign, it's a popular gathering spot for Liverpool fans. While they usually show Liverpool matches, they also broadcast major events like the Asian Cup. Typically, there's a 20,000 won entry fee per person, which includes two beers. One interesting thing is that even when the pub is full, people will stand and watch the match. It seems like a place filled with passionate football fans, making it perfect for those who want to experience the thrill of enthusiastic cheering. Bonghwangdang operates on a reservation system, so please check their Instagram and make a reservation before visiting!
Finally, let me introduce you to 'The Barm.' It's located a 7-minute walk from Sangsu Station Exit 1. It's a place where you can typically enjoy relaxing videos and music with a large screen, but during major football matches, they switch to broadcasting the games. What sets this place apart is that it offers a variety of food options, from hearty meals to lighter snacks. It's known for its delicious food, so it's highly recommended for those who prioritize good food while watching the game! For sports broadcasts, The Barm uses a combination of reservations and first-come, first-served entry. Reservations for the Asian Cup matches are reportedly filling up quickly, so if you plan to visit, it's best to book in advance! You can make reservations via Instagram DM or by phone/text. I've included the link and number below.
