‘Reversal Love Season 2’, hailed as a legendary dating program

Hello everyone! Did you watch Single's Inferno 2, which aired in 2022? It became a huge hit and many people got deeply immersed in it, leading to the birth of many 'Hwanchinja' (those obsessed with Single's Inferno). The season featured incredibly charming participants and many couples showed genuine affection, earning the sympathy of viewers. Since Single's Inferno Season 3 is currently airing, I've decided to review Season 2, which is considered a legend!

I think the main highlight of Single's Inferno Season 2 was Hae-eun. The most talked-about aspect was the love story of Hae-eun and Kyu-min. Their 7-year relationship, the longest among the participants, surprised many. With such a long time together, the photos and videos they shared were quite touching. However, their hearts were not aligned. Kyu-min, not wanting to rekindle the relationship, didn't give her any hope, while Hae-eun cried every day, causing many viewers to feel sorry for her.

The turning point came with the arrival of the 'megi' (newcomer), Hyun-gyu. From his first appearance, he exuded a strong presence and asked Hae-eun out on a date. His straightforward advances swayed Hae-eun's heart, and everyone was eager to know who she would ultimately choose. Hyun-gyu and Hae-eun created numerous memes like 'Naebwenoo (See you tomorrow, Noona)' and 'We met when we were 21, and now we're 29', becoming a hot topic. This couple met at Chung-ang University (CC: Campus Couple) and broke up when Won-bin went to the military and Ji-soo went on an exchange program. They entered the show uncertain about their feelings for each other. While Won-bin seemed to have lingering feelings, Ji-soo appeared indifferent, making their situation heartbreaking. Ji-soo is an English teacher, and Won-bin is a physical education major at university.

Tae-i & Ji-yeon (6 months together)

Tae-i and Ji-yeon had the shortest relationship among the participants. Tae-i seemed to have moved on, while Ji-yeon appeared to have lingering feelings for him but was also getting along well with Hui-doo. Ji-yeon is a university student majoring in hospitality management at Kyung Hee University, and Tae-i is a barista and brand editor.

Kyu-min & Hae-eun (6 years and 4 months together)

Kyu-min and Hae-eun were the most talked-about couple. Having been together since their university days, they spent almost all of their 20s together, making their relationship significant. Their conflicting feelings caused much heartbreak among viewers. Hae-eun is a flight attendant, and Kyu-min is a video editor.

Hui-doo & Na-yeon (2 years and 7 months together)

Hui-doo and Na-yeon were a Yonsei University campus couple with contrasting personalities. Their affection for each other was evident, but their fights and jealousy caused concern among viewers. They both seemed to be developing feelings for others, making their final choices unpredictable. Hui-doo is an ice hockey player, and Na-yeon is a sports announcer.

Hyun-gyu & Na-eon (1 year and 2 months together)

Hyun-gyu and Na-eon seemed to have the least lingering feelings for each other. Their similar art styles and sibling-like chemistry led them to support each other. Hyun-gyu, who entered the show later as a 'megi', got along well with the other participants. Final Choices

Hui-doo & Na-yeon

First, Hui-doo and Na-yeon became the final couple. They showed hesitation and uncertainty until the very end, but ultimately chose each other and displayed a sweet and loving relationship. Watching the final scene, it felt like they were always meant for each other.

Tae-i & Na-eon

Tae-i and Na-eon, who displayed a comfortable and cute chemistry, chose each other without any major surprises. Apparently, right before the final choice, Hyun-gyu suggested a confession line from Fullmetal Alchemist to Na-eon, which she then used. This resulted in Tae-i's surprised laughter, which was quite cute, wasn't it?

In the end, Hae-eun's final choice was Hyun-gyu. Taking off the necklace Kyu-min gave her on the final day signified her decision. Hyun-gyu's victory over a 7-year relationship is remarkable, and Hae-eun's bold decision is equally impressive. I believe they are a beautiful couple who continue to receive many people's support.

Single's Inferno 2 was the most enjoyable dating show I've ever watched. The concept was fresh, and it made me reflect deeply on relationships. I wonder when else I'd be able to genuinely immerse myself in and cheer for someone else's love story like this. Contrary to my initial expectations of a sensationalized topic, it was a program that allowed me to laugh and cry along with the five couples' stories!
